If the adage is true — that tragedy plus time equals comedy — then Ryan has paid his dues on the left side of the equation. Born in Baltimore, Ryan lost his father when he was 16. While his early years might have seemed rocky, that tumultuous childhood gave him both fodder for material and armor against the relentless onslaught that is life as a standup comic.
Beyond standup, Ryan is an engaging storyteller. You can catch him every Toozdee on his podcast, The CrabFeast. Inspired by his hometown, the show celebrates the things he loves most — storytelling, family, friends and comedy.
Ryan & Jay are hitting the road this fall to bring The CrabFeast standup to your town. The chemistry between them enables the guys to take the conversation anywhere, often making light of some heavier subjects. They make their guests feel like family and their listeners feel like they’re sitting around sharing stories with old friends.
They’ve appeared on TBS’s The Pete Holmes Show and The Damon Bruce Radio Show and were finalists in the 2013 Stitcher Awards for Best Comedy Podcast.
